She walked through the halls with her headphones on. Not because she loved music—but because silence felt safer than hope.

Her name is Lauren. She’s a high school senior in Richmond, California. She’s smart, ambitious, and determined to go to college. But at home, things are unstable. Her parents are separated. Her mother is often absent. Her father works long hours. There’s no one to walk her through college applications, explain financial aid, or take her on a campus visit.

Lauren doesn’t need a miracle. She needs what every student deserves: someone who says, “I see you. I believe in you. I won’t forget about you.”

That’s exactly what PACT Inc. has been doing for 62 years.

Since 1963, Plan of Action for Challenging Times (PACT, Inc.) has provided free support to low-income, first-generation students across the Bay Area through federal TRIO programs including Upward Bound and Educational Talent Search. Over six decades, PACT has served more than 60,000 students—and more than 20,000 of them graduated from college.

Right now, PACT serves 510+ students across Richmond, Vallejo, and Vacaville with tutoring, mentorship, college advising, financial aid workshops, campus visits, and summer enrichment programs. These students achieve a 100% high school graduation rate. But too many students like Lauren still don’t have access to this support.

$25,000 — UPLIFT US ALL: Your gift sponsors a cluster of students and creates lasting change across an entire program cohort. You’ll receive VIP recognition, the Champion Bundle, an annual impact report, and a personal invitation to visit a campus where PACT students are thriving.
