PACT, Inc. - About Us - Scholarship Program

The single best time at PACT occurs in January when we award scholarships to our students who were selected as winners of a grant funded by Chela Financial, Inc. The scholarships awarded to students are intended to bridge the financial gap between the student’s need and financial aid award from the college. The funds further enables low-income students with few financial resources to handle unexpected and emergency expenses.

The celebration of these awards takes place annually immediately before first year students return to college after Winter vacation.

Chela Financial is a San Francisco based not-for-proﬁt student education finance company which helps students achieve their educational goals with loaned funds. Since 1996, Chela has dedicated more than $2 million to scholarship and outreach programs as well as having become actively involved in community-based educational programs.

PACT and Chela Financial have developed a meaningful partnership on behalf of low-income and underrepresented students and we will collaborate on other outreach programs, such as the College Planning workshops, Financial Aid Workshops, and the College Survival Skills Workshops.

Pact was the recipient of an anonymous gift, which at this time will be used as seed funds for PACT’S permanent scholarship endowment fund.
