PACT, Inc. is a private, non-profit California Corporation, which provides services to the San Francisco Bay Area since 1963. The visionary founders, Mr. Everett Brandon and Dr. Henry Lucas, saw the wisdom of creating a structure for many different programs in response to the needs of the African American community and other underrepresented groups in education, business and employment. PACT began to operate in 1964, and in 1965 began to operate its first Educational Talent Search Project which was funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The program has expanded and continues presently.
